Hello!
My name is Rachel Dankworth. I am a creative and fun loving designer who tries to make the world not only a better but more beautiful place.
After almost 18 years in the industry working in the corporate structure, I decided to take some time to explore freelance and a little more of the world.
I was most recently employed as a VP of Design, Global Brands for an apparel company in Southern California that specializes in brand building and licensing.
I have been involved in every part of the apparel process throughout my years in the industry. This has given me a strong understanding of industry and how to creatively translate concepts into the best product for the end consumer at the right price points.
I have been responsible for creating and driving seasonal concepts that follow regional and international trends; reviewing selling reports and seasonal analysis to determine SKU productivity; approval of all color, fabrics, designs and fits; as well as working with product development on calendars, execution and costing. I have also worked closely with merchandising and sales to finalize collections, direct and execute photoshoots and oversee catalog and marketing materials.
In addition to working in the apparel industry, I also worked as the creative director for an event planning company in Orange County, California. I was responsible for the creative concepts and execution of our events, working closely with our clients to make sure that each event was a success. That usually included all decor, florals, invitations, programs, signage and lighting. I also advised on budget management, timelines, venue and vendor selections.
My goal with any client is to listen to their needs, wants and goals for any project for event. I understand budgets, multiple demographics, markets and the lifecycle of apparel and events. With my varied and extensive range of experience Iām sure I can help you with all of your creative needs!
